Connectivity

Voice & VoIP

From a single line at the wall to a full 3CX phone system.

A basic line on your fibre connection, SIP trunking for a PBX you already own, or a full 3CX system hosted with a backup instance. Licensing comes through VoIP HQ, a 3CX Platinum partner; we host it and support it.

What you get

  • Calls that reach whoever is actually available
  • The same number whether you're at a desk, at home or on site
  • A second 3CX instance ready to take over if the first one stops
  • One yearly 3CX licence cost, not a per-user monthly fee
  • A phone system that moves premises with you

Delivered with our partners

We work with VoIP HQ, who hold 3CX's top partner tier. Licensing comes through them, we host and support the systems we deploy — and we provide support for VoIP HQ's own customers as well as ours.

Three ways to do this

Which one is right depends on what you already have. We'll tell you honestly.

  1. A line at the wall

The simplest option. A phone line delivered on the voice port of your fibre ONT — a working number, without a phone system behind it.

    • Right for a small site that just needs a number that rings
    • No handsets to manage, no system to learn
    • Keep your existing number
  2. SIP trunking

You already have a PBX you're happy with. We provide the trunks it connects to, and take the copper out of the equation.

    • Works with your existing PBX
    • Scale channels up or down as you grow
    • Number porting handled
  3. 3CX, hosted and supported

A full phone system with apps, video, live chat and call flows. Share our instance, or have a dedicated one. Licensing comes through VoIP HQ, so we can supply the licence, host it, or both.

    • Your own isolated tenant on our shared instance, or a dedicated one
    • Hosted by us, with a backup instance for reduced downtime
    • Desktop, mobile and browser apps — your extension anywhere
    • Video meetings, live chat and SMS in the same system

How it works

  • Backed by a 3CX Platinum partner

VoIP HQ hold 3CX's top partner tier, and we work inside their operation — licensing comes through them, and we support their customers alongside our own. 3CX is something we are in every day rather than occasionally.

  • A backup instance, not just a backup plan

We can run a second 3CX instance ready to take over if the primary one has a problem. Phones are the thing a business notices fastest when they stop, so it's worth the redundancy.

  • Share an instance, or have your own

On our shared instance you get your own isolated tenant — same features, tightened separation, a fraction of the cost of running your own. Outgrow it and you move to a dedicated instance.

  • More than calls

Video meetings with no time limit, live chat from your website, and SMS — in the same system your phones are already on, rather than three more subscriptions.

  • Your extension anywhere

Desktop, mobile and browser apps mean someone working from home or on site is still on the same extension, with the same number.

  • Number porting

Keep the number that's on your van, your signage and every listing you've ever been in.

Common questions

What happens to our phones in a power cut?
Voice over broadband depends on power and on your internet connection, so it will not work during an outage the way an old copper line did. If you may need to call 111 during a power cut, keep a charged mobile. Tell us before installation if anyone at your site would be at particular risk, so we can talk through the options.
What is 3CX, in plain terms?
A phone system that runs as software rather than a box on the wall. Your extensions work from a desk phone, a laptop or a mobile, and it also handles video meetings, live chat from your website and SMS. Because it's software, moving premises doesn't mean moving a phone system.
Who actually holds the 3CX accreditation?
VoIP HQ do — they are a 3CX Platinum partner, which is the top tier. We licence through them, and we also provide support for their customers, so 3CX is something we work in daily rather than occasionally. For you it means the licence, the hosting and the support can come from one conversation.
What is the backup instance for?
We can run a second 3CX instance that's ready to take over if the primary one has a problem. Phones are usually the first thing a business notices when they stop working, so for many customers that redundancy is worth more than it costs.
What's the difference between the shared and dedicated instances?
On the shared instance you get your own isolated tenant — the same features and your own configuration, separated from other customers, running on infrastructure we already operate. A dedicated instance is yours alone, which matters if you need more capacity or have a specific compliance requirement. Most small businesses are better off on the shared one.
We already have a phone system. Can you just provide the lines?
Yes — that's SIP trunking. Your PBX stays, we provide the trunks it connects to. It's the usual path for businesses moving off copper without replacing equipment that still works.
We only want a phone that rings. Do we need all this?
No. If a working number is all you need, we can deliver a basic line on the voice port of your fibre connection — no phone system, no handsets to manage.
Can we keep our existing numbers?
Almost always. Porting is routine but it needs scheduling, so it's worth starting the conversation before you commit to a move date.
Do we need new handsets?
Sometimes existing handsets can be reused, sometimes not. 3CX works with a wide range of IP phones, and plenty of people use the desktop or mobile app instead. We'll check before assuming you need to buy anything.

Moving premises or outgrowing your phones?

We'll map your current call flow, tell you what porting actually involves, and be honest about whether you need a phone system at all.
